We offer some programs at your choice of preserves.

We'll work with you to find a location that is convenient to your group and suitable for the program you are attending.

Bike rodeo

Try out our hands-on conservation field trips through this one-day sampler program. Session includes removal of invasive species, an activity on the importance of land management in maintaining habitat quality and exploration time looking for tracks and evidence of wildlife.

An Environmental Educator will make an introductory visit to your school, and then we’ll set out to a nearby Forest Preserve for three visits that include environmental education, restoration and free exploration.

The program includes seasonal stewardship activities such as seed collecting, brush cutting and planting. Students use equipment such as field guides, binoculars, and hand lenses to observe nature and identify native and invasive species.
