Bear Cub Scout Programs

These programs are designed to aid completion of scout badge requirements, but are available to any group with interest.

In addition to these programs designed specifically to help scouts earn badges, we’ll also customize any of our education programs to meet your needs.

  • Bear badge, Boy Scouts of America

    Discover the unique duties of rangers, naturalists, and biologists and how their jobs are important to the forest preserves. A naturalist will guide you on a hike searching for wildlife. Bird study skins will assist in finding out more about some common backyard feathered friends as well as the not so common.

    Explore water conservation as you learn about erosion, water pollution and run-off as you experiment with the landscape on our enviroscape model. Then look down to the ground to dig for and identify the different types of soil found in Lake County.
